Chicken in Honey-Soy Sauce
Tips for Preparation:
- Use a whole chicken weighing 1.5–2 kg.
- Pass the garlic through a press.
- If Hot Honey Strong is too thick, melt it before using.
- You can marinate the chicken overnight for better flavor.
- If the chicken browns too quickly but is not cooked through, drizzle it with the juices from the pan and cover with foil to allow it to steam a bit.
- Be cautious with the salt, as soy sauce is quite salty.
Ingredients for Marinade:
- 8 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp hot paprika
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 4 garlic cloves
- 10 ml oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 portion Hot Honey Strong size of 50 grams
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken: Rinse the chicken under running water and pat it dry with paper towels.
2. Make the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, Hot Honey Strong, minced garlic, hot paprika, sweet paprika, black pepper, and a small amount of salt.
3. Marinate the Chicken: Rub the marinade all over the chicken, including inside the cavity. Let it marinate for 2 hours to allow the flavors to infuse.
4. Bake the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). Grease a baking dish with oil. Place the marinated chicken in the dish and bake for approximately 1.5 hours. Cooking time may vary depending on the size of the chicken.
5. Serve: Once the chicken is cooked through and has a beautiful golden color, remove it from the oven. Let it rest for a few minutes before carving.
